Air Purifier Efficiency

The mobile HEPA filter unit efficiency can be described as a timeline of particle concentration inside a room. Higher airflow rates enable quicker removal of moving particles inside a room. Two studies were performed on a typical open space with two particle types: aerosol and dust, which both can carry unwanted microbes and infectious agents.

The study was performed in a room with 10x10 m of floor area and a ceiling height of 3 m (total volume 300 m3). The unit was placed in the center of the room. Initial aerosol particles distribution was homogeneous in the whole room, and monitored as 100% particle concentration. Three different airflow settings were used to monitor the timeline of particle concentration in the room.
