We delivered a complete ventilation solution for swimming pool Tivoli in Ljubljana. One of the main swimming complexes in the Slovenian capital reopened its doors after a complete energy renovation, which involved the replacement of the entire ventilation and lighting system, a new façade and heating station and the installation of solar panels on the roof of the building.
Due to the increased energy efficiency of the facility, annual savings of around 150,000 EUR or 1830 megawatt hours are expected. The Tivoli swimming pool, which after its construction in 1975 for the first time underwent such an extensive renovation, will now be also more environmentally friendly - according to the estimates, 486 tons of carbon dioxide will be saved annually, replacing 24,300 trees.
A large share of these savings is due to the new ventilation and air conditioning system of the building. The old air handling units, which have been operating continuously for almost four decades, have been replaced by six energy efficient air handling units with an advanced control system that adjusts the system performance to the current parameters and occupancy of the facility. Four air handling units that supply conditioned air to pools and saunas are in swimming pool execution and with an integrated heat pump, which allows optimum utilization of waste heat from the pool.
We have provided technical support from the initial phase of the project design to the final implementation and startup of the system.
